Registration will open on Wednesday, November 1 for Mono Lake Committee members only, and on December 1 for non-members. To sign up, call (760) 647-6595 or register online.
In the winter ecology seminar, join Mono Lake Committee Lead Naturalist Guide Nora Livingston for a investigation into the Mono Basin’s winter weather patterns, plant and animal adaptations to winter, and how humans cope with the cold season as well.
Both winter photography seminars will be led by Joe Decker, veteran of many Mono Basin and polar winters. The January seminar will include the traditional Saturday dinner catered by Linda Dore at Epic Cafe, and the March seminar will take advantage of a full moon rising each evening, multiplying the photographic opportunities. Detailed seminar itineraries are coming soon, and you can email me if you have questions.
Come prepared for cold winter weather. These seminars will take place regardless of weather or road conditions. There will be no refunds due to weather. Cost is for tuition only; participants must arrange their own accommodations. The ecology seminar is limited to 12 participants and the photography seminars are limited to 15 participants.
