Mono Lake on the BBC

Last week Mono Lake’s story popped up online again, this time as a BBC Reel. The four-minute video describes the effort to save Mono Lake, led by the Mono Lake Kootzaduka’a Tribe and the Mono Lake Committee. Click on the image below to see the video:

Spreading the word about Mono Lake and getting it into the news has been key to also getting it protected. And this year, even though Mono Lake rose five feet, it’s important to keep it in the news because the lake is still far below the healthy level the State Water Board determined set 29 years ago.
