Over the course of the last year we have been working with the fantastic duo at Bristlecone Media to replace our outdated slideshow with a brand-new HD film. And just a few weeks ago we added a composer to round out the team as we finish up the project.
But who are these talented people? Well….

Bristlecone Media is a local Eastern Sierra company made up of Ryan Christenson and Jonah Matthewson. Ryan and Jonah quickly understood our goals for the new film and have ranged all over the Mono Basin to

capture it in every season. We admire Bristlecone Media’s mission to promote wilderness preservation and protection of historic and cultural treasures through environmentally and socially conscious films, and after seeing their great work for our fellow non-profit Friends of the Inyo, we knew we wanted to work with them.
Composer Cody Westheimer will be writing music for the film. From New West Studios in Los Angeles, Cody brings a nice symmetry to the project, representing the southern end of the Mono Basin watershed. Cody has written music for films, TV, and documentaries, and was able to come up to visit Mono Lake last week for the first time!
As Ryan and Jonah work on the editing process and Cody works on the music, we’re all on excited pins and needles to see the finished film. Coming this winter to the Mono Lake Committee gallery!
