“How is it already September?” has been a question floating around the office this past week. As fall sneaks up, schedules, interpretive tours, and leaves begin to change around Lee Vining.

Here are some important dates to take note of while planning your last-minute summer trips to Mono Lake:
- The last weekend for canoe tours is this weekend—September 5 and 6.
- The final bird walk and Panum Crater tour will take place on Sunday, September 6.
- Starting on Tuesday, September 8 the Information Center & Bookstore will be open from 9:00am to 7:00pm instead of 8:00am to 9:00pm.
- The last day for a full schedule of interpretive activities will be Monday, September 7, after which South Tufa tours will only be offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00pm.
- The Stars Over Mono program will continue to be held at South Tufa on Monday evenings at 7:30pm until September 21.
This summer has been a whirlwind of activities and we are thrilled that so many of you were able to share the splendor of Mono Lake with us!
