Gary Snyder is perhaps best known as a poet, but he is also an essayist, lecturer, environmental activist, and winner of a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and the American Book Award.

Tom Killion‘s Japanese-style wood block and lino-cut prints depict the rugged Sierra Nevada and California coastal landscape.

Kim Stanley Robinson is a literary science fiction writer, best known for his Mars trilogy, who writes about themes of ecological sustainability, economic and social justice, and citizens as scientists.

Laurie Glover is a poet, essayist, fiction writer, and instructor at UC Davis who writes in all genres, but almost always about place.

  1. Do you have a basic itinerary for this event. I am considering a trip to Nevada City to arrive at 7:00 (3-3.5 hours drive) from this event.
