Tioga Pass Run registration opens soon

We’ve finally made it to mid-April, the typical start of the Highway 120 West, or Tioga Pass road, plowing season. With that in mind, it’s time to start training for the 44th annual Tioga Pass Run!

Participants of the Tioga Pass Run either walk or run 12.4 miles and 3,200 feet up from the Mono Lake Committee Information Center & Bookstore to the east entrance of Yosemite National Park at Tioga Pass. (As we like to remind everyone, there’s “only one hill!”) This fun and challenging event is always a great time for racers and volunteers, and we love seeing the friendly faces of participants who return year after year to tackle the course.

As we patiently wait for the gates of Highway 120 to open so we can access the Yosemite high country, planning is already underway for this year’s race. A couple notable dates to add to your calendars are Monday, May 5, 2025, when registration opens and race day, Sunday, September 7, 2025.

This year, we have moved race registration from Enmotive to Humanitix, which will make the registration process much smoother all around. Keep an eye out for the link to register and other important info here at the Tioga Pass Run web page. If you have any questions or know someone who would like to volunteer for or sponsor this event, please email me, Race Director Leslie Redman.

We hope to see you toeing the start line this fall!
