Each year the Mono Lake Committee supports local students with plans to attend college or other vocational training within a year of graduation who display a personal connection with Mono Lake and the Mono Lake story.
We award two Mono County students with $1,000 scholarships who can share why places like Mono Lake matter to them and to the world. We encourage the students to go to the lakeshore and write an essay about their connection to this special place.
