Sample messages

Sample 1: I recently returned from a visit to the Mono Basin—what a spectacular place! I am concerned because a large development project is being planned in the Mono Basin National Forest Scenic Area—violating the Scenic Area regulations. Please urge the Forest Service to enforce the Scenic Area regulations, to ensure that future generations can enjoy this national treasure.

Sample 2: I recently learned of plans for a large development project in the Mono Basin National Forest Scenic Area—even though Scenic Area guidelines prohibit that type of development. Please urge the Forest Service to enforce the Scenic Area regulations. I would hate to see the protections of the Scenic Area unravel—the Mono Basin is such a unique and beautiful place.

Sample 3: In its 20th year, the Mono Basin National Forest Scenic Area regulations are being challenged. I have learned that a developer is planning to subdivide a property along Mono Lake’s west shore—violating the Scenic Area regulations. Please urge the Forest Service to enforce the Scenic Area regulations. Mono Lake and the surrounding lands are such a special place for me and my family.
