Its been 20 years thereve been a lot of legal battles, fun times, tough days and plain hard work, but now its time to celebrate Mono Lake and the future. Join the Mono Lake Committee at Mono Lake for four fun-filled days of activities over Labor Day Weekend, September 4-7. Restoration Days will be a time for exploring Mono Lake and the Mono Basin, looking for birds, investigating the new shoreline, learning about current Mono happenings and participating in restoration activities. Not to mention that Restoration Days promises to be a lot of fun! Start Restoration Days by listening to bluegrass music at Guss Hess Park, then throughout the weekend explore the area with scientists, naturalists, and Committee staff, go on birding tours with experts, learn about the restoration work and plans, visit Monos volcanoes, discover stories about the stars and sky, have a campfire at South Tufa, and more! As you know, the Mono Basin is a very special place, and spending time along the lakes shore, climbing the Mono Craters, sitting still and watching the flies or birds, or venturing all around the Mono Basin can be inspiring and educational for all.
