The Mono Lake Committee achieves its mission in several ways, among them environmental education and statewide water policy work. The local policy work in the Mono Basin and Eastern Sierra is another important way we work to protect and restore the Mono Basin ecosystem. Click here to see how we prioritize what we work on.

Our policy team consists of two core staff. Lisa Cutting is the Eastern Sierra Policy Director and directs the program and is the lead on issues with LADWP, and is the lead on north basin water issues. Emily Prud'homme is the Eastern Sierra Policy Coordinator, taking the lead on public land and land development issues. The rest of the staff (and board) assists and is consulted regularly wherever and whenever they are needed.
