I save water for Mono Lake

BackIndex

The protection of Mono Lake will
not adversely affect Los Angeles’
water supply. The water “lost” to
Mono Lake will be more than
replaced by specific conservation
and recycling projects. This photograph
shows a “toilet brick” that was initially
used to displace water in the tanks of
water-intensive toilets. This was a
good start, but the new toilet
technology is now superior. If you
would like to find out more about
how you can save water by
installing new low flow toilets and taking
other measures, visit
the California
Urban Water Conservation Council's
 Water Saver Home.
