At the hub of the Mono Lake
Committee’s
educational program is the Information
Center and Bookstore at Mono Lake, which
also serves as the Lee Vining Chamber of
Commerce. This old photograph is a
reminder of how far the Committee has come.
Today, the store stocks a large and varied
supply of books, posters, crafts from local
artisans, and of course, all the information
anybody could possibly need about Mono
Lake. Over 100,000 people visit the info center
each year, keeping staff busy year round.
All proceeds generated in the store go
directly to help protect and restore Mono
Lake.
