Today I saw a large bobcat walking along Goat Ranch Cutoff rd. near Rancheria Gulch. Its rear legs stood an estimated 60cm high, about at my lower thigh (big!). I followed behind it for a few hundred meters then it went up into the pinyons. Also at Rancheria Gulch, the Black-throated Gray warblers are singing, as well as western tanagers, plumbeous vireos, and gray flycatgchers to name a few, and noisy flocks of pinyon jays.
